Where you live can have a huge effect on your overall health. This is according to recent research by Niche, a company that compiles information on cities from U.S Census data who have released a list of the healthiest cities in America.
Your health comes down to many personal decisions such as your diet, how often you drink or smoke and your access to exercise facilities.
Often you are influenced by those near to you and the communities you live, including your access to healthcare.
Niche looked at more than 220 cities with a population of more than 100,000, focusing on the factors that have the biggest influence on your health.
Those are obesity, smoking rates, rate of excessive alcohol consumption, and access to doctors, mental health providers and gyms.
